Job Summary

The Senior Data Engineer transforms raw data into business intelligence solutions that support healthcare organizations in their journey to performance excellence. The Senior Data Engineer will work directly with major healthcare organizations to implement automated data interfaces, proactively safeguard the integrity of incoming data, the robustness of internal data structures and procedures, and the reliability and currency of the business analytics reporting platform and other solutions that are vital operational tools for the organizations we serve.

The Senior Data Engineer enhances technical skills by managing and analyzing large data sets, including hosting databases and ETL processes, utilizing project management skills to complete projects on time and on budget, and leveraging subject-matter expertise to mentor and support other members of the Data Engineering team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the integration of data extracts for new organizations into our platform and the deployment of proprietary software solutions to their end users. This includes data integrity validation, code mappings, and client-specific parameterization of the features and functionalities available of our applications.
  • Identify and implement changes to the current data infrastructure, including staging tables, ETL procedures, data warehouses, and cubes, in order to support the integration of new clients or to provide the foundation for new lines of business.
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain multi-level performance tracking reports. This involves not only the continuous safeguarding of the integrity, accuracy, and currency of the data made available to organizations, but also the development of customized reports based on the client needs.
  • Support sales and marketing campaigns by maintaining and upgrading a set of demo applications for our software solutions.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (preferably engineering, analytics or information technology).
  • Proven experience with relational databases and T-SQL, as well as multidimensional schemas and MDX, is essential and required.
  • Understanding of basic financial and accounting concepts.
  • Comfortable assimilating new knowledge from diverse sources and at a fast pace.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at a time and deliver based on prioritization and deadlines established.
  • Self-motivated, with ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Acute analytical skills, with solid focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Deliverable-driven, comfortable going the extra mile to complete tasks within the pre-established timeframes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
